HSE-HIHI Spark Ignite Programme wins at the CIPD Ireland HR Awards 2022

| Posted on: 29 March, 2022

As the most prestigious HR awards in Ireland, the annual CIPD Ireland HR Awards showcases the best in HR and the people profession. The annual awards recognise and reward innovation and excellence in the fields of HR, Learning and Development, and people management.

This years competition was stiff and the best of the people profession was demonstrated by each and every entry. Congratulations to all of the 2022 winners for their hard work and innovative initiatives that saw them recognised as the best in their category.

The HSE-HIHI Spark Ignite programme won the 2022 Employee Empowerment and Trust Award in a closely contested category. The CIPD judges were impressed by the high levels of commitment of the healthcare participants despite the pressure of COVID-19, and the stories of innovation and positive impact on frontline delivery, making a real difference to patient care.

The programme was set up to drive an innovation mind-set in the health sector by empowering the best ideas in frontline health services and supporting them to come to life. It operates as a mini accelerator process with staff pitching for funding, getting training support and external mentorship.

Health Innovation Hub Ireland (HIHI) were delighted to accept the award with the HSE’s Spark Programme at Friday’s event. This award is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and belief of HSE staff to build a better healthcare system for themselves, their patients, and the country.
