Overview
The HIHI Clinical Innovation Awards is a national competitive funding programme that supports healthcare professionals in Ireland to develop, evaluate, and advance clinically driven innovations with strong commercial potential. The is a joint government initiative delivered by Health innovation Hub Ireland, supported by the Department of Health - Ireland and Enterprise Ireland.
The programme led by Health Innovation Hub Ireland, invites applications from clinicians and healthcare staff with high potential product innovations. The aim is to select products with high commercial potential. Applications are shortlisted by Health Innovation Hub Ireland and winners selected by Enterprise Ireland.
The winners receive an Enterprise Ireland €15,000 Commercial Feasibility Fund (CFF) award and are offered a place on the prestigious NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme (CEP) - funded by the Department of Health.

Health Innovation Hub Ireland was proud to attend the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme Big Pitch as partners, celebrating a landmark 10 year milestone for the programme.
Emily Naylor and Andrew Maxwell attended their first CEP event as members of Cohort 10, the newest wave of innovators beginning their entrepreneurial journey through the programme, having earned their place as winners of the HIHI/EI Clinical Innovation Awards.
Also flying the flag for Ireland, Jenni Dowley took to the main stage to pitch Building Bones, her osteoporosis management app, while Conor Judge delivered a compelling investment pitch for AI BP, developed as part of the ARC Hub for HealthTech at University of Galway.
