HIHI Director Dr Tanya Mulcahy joins an impressive line up of speakers at today’s Future Health Summit 2026

HIHI Director Dr. Tanya Mulcahy is in action today at the Investnet Future Health Summit 2026 at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre. She joins an impressive line up of speakers and features in today’s session: “The Evolution of Women’s Health: Innovation, Data and the Next Frontier of Personalised Care”.

With the publication last year of Ireland’s first FemTech report entitled “Femtech in Ireland: The Case for Prioritising Women’s Health Research and Innovation”, Dr Tanya Mulcahy and the team at Health Innovation Hub Ireland have put a spotlight on both the gaps and the enormous opportunity in women’s health. The report is clear, despite women making up half the population, research and innovation in this space have been historically underfunded and under-prioritised.

Importantly, this report has already driven action. In response, the Minister for Health has committed €2 million in dedicated funding for women’s health research marking the first time funding has been ringfenced specifically to address these gaps and advance evidence-based, gender-informed care.
