Health Innovation Hub Ireland Contributes to Irish Medtech Seminar on Incentivising Innovation
Health Innovation Hub Ireland (HIHI) was delighted to participate in the recent Irish Medtech seminar, Incentivising Innovation in Medtech, held at the Radisson RED Galway. The event brought together leaders from across industry, government, investment and healthcare innovation to explore how Ireland can continue to strengthen its position as a global hub for medtech innovation.
HIHI Director, Dr Tanya Mulcahy, joined a distinguished panel discussion focused on Making Ireland a Location of Choice for Innovation. The session examined how stakeholders across the innovation ecosystem can work collaboratively to support the development, adoption and scaling of innovative healthcare solutions.
Throughout the seminar, speakers shared valuable insights on innovation funding opportunities, including R&D tax credits, European funding programmes, venture capital trends, investment supports and practical experiences from companies that have successfully leveraged these incentives.
The event also highlighted the importance of supporting start-ups and innovators through access to capital, mentorship and collaborative networks that enable healthcare innovations to reach patients and healthcare systems more effectively.
