Health Innovation Hub Ireland Celebrates Irish Innovation at NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme Big Pitch
Health Innovation Hub Ireland (HIHI) was proud to attend the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme (CEP) Big Pitch this week as a programme partner, joining celebrations marking the programme’s significant 10-year milestone.
The event brought together an inspiring community of clinician innovators, entrepreneurs, investors and healthcare leaders, showcasing some of the most promising healthcare innovations emerging across the UK and Ireland.
HIHI was delighted to see strong Irish representation on the national stage. Emily Naylor and Andrew Maxwell attended their first CEP event as members of Cohort 10, the latest group of clinicians embarking on their entrepreneurial journey through the programme. Their participation follows their success as winners of the Health Innovation Hub Ireland and Enterprise Ireland Clinical Innovation Awards, which secured their place in the prestigious NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme.
The event also provided an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of Irish innovators already making an impact within the programme. Jenni Dowley took to the main stage to pitch Building Bones, her innovative osteoporosis management app designed to support patient care and improve long-term bone health outcomes. Meanwhile, Conor Judge delivered a compelling investment pitch for AI BP, an innovative solution developed through the ARC Hub for HealthTech at the University of Galway.
The energy, ambition and quality of innovation on display throughout the event highlighted the immense potential of clinician-led entrepreneurship to address healthcare challenges and improve patient outcomes.
