Violet
by Akara Robotics
Akara Robotics has developed a disinfection cleaning robot that uses ultraviolet germicidal irradiation to neutralise harmful micro-organisms (bacteria, viruses and fungi) that reside on nearby surfaces.
VIOLET is a disinfection robot that can help hospitals decontaminate patient rooms, operating rooms and other critical areas. It achieves disinfection using germ-killing UV light. The device can be manually positioned by an operator, or in certain instances it can be deployed to autonomously decontaminate the room using advanced artificial intelligence. The robot is developed by Akara, a spin-out from Trinity College Dublin.
Key benefits:
- helps Reduces turnaround time of operating rooms and patient rooms
- Patent-protected design ensures that staff can work safely in room alongside robot
- Advanced AI enables robot to operate autonomously with minimal human supervision
- Shadowed regions minimised using advanced 3D simulation
